You can’t teach metasystematicity, but you can teach ‘atoms of meaning’. Spend time and share space with someone in the right context and they can have the right building blocks with which to ‘get it’. Little pieces of different systems of meaning that one can start to stitch together: a gesture, a movement, the way the light reflects at a certain angle in the room. (I use these examples because they are obviously imbued with meaning by some abstract idea of “other people”, but you have to substitute them for something you uniquely find meaningful. Got it?
